Have you ever heard a new Dealer make the comment that sponsoring is like inviting someone to compete with you? I have heard it said from time to time over the years, and when I hear it, I know that the person saying it doesn’t understand what it takes to succeed in this business.
Sponsoring doesn’t invite competition. On the contrary, it expands the sponsor’s personal income opportunities and provides financial security in the event of illness or disabling accident. When you sponsor new Dealers, you are adding salespeople for your business. Your personally sponsored Dealers generate sales that you alone could not possibly make. Their sales, and the sales of the Dealers they sponsor, result in commission credits that are added to yours, determining the percent commission you earn every month.
Unless you are an incredibly talented salesperson, there’s no way you could earn as much from your own personal sales as you could with the combined efforts of an active downline group. And even if you have a bad month personally or are unable to work due to illness or accident, your personal group will continue to generate income for you.
But sponsoring new Dealers is really just the beginning of building a thriving, profitable AMSOIL Business. As your downline group gets larger, it becomes your job to assist, train and help keep your group motivated. That means holding sales meetings and making yourself available to answer your Dealer’s questions and concerns. Your meetings will be a place where your downline Dealers bring new prospects to help them build their businesses, because the more you help your downline Dealers succeed, the more success you will enjoy. That’s the way this business works.
AMSOIL provides plenty of assistance in getting you started in sponsoring and operating your AMSOIL business. Your G-700 sales manual includes many “how to” books, including the G-1229, which is the “How to Sponsor AMSOIL Dealers.” It is an excellent reference guide to tell you why and how to sponsor new Dealers. Other “how to” books are also helpful and should be read by every new Dealer. They include information on how to begin, how to sell, how to promote, how to administrate, plus books on the Altrum division, our sales programs, and information on product features and benefits. All of this information is geared to help you in all aspects of owning and operating your own AMSOIL business.
In addition to these many training tools, AMSOIL also makes available a tremendous variety of product and promotional materials geared to help you sell AMSOIL, Altrum and AGGRAND products.
Our Sales Promotions Department is staffed with talented writers and marketing personnel who take great pride in producing outstanding sales literature and sales aids for our Dealers use. We expect our promotional materials to reflect a quality image for our company, our products, and for you, our Dealers. They are produced at great expense to the company, but in high enough quantities to make them affordable to individual Dealers.
When you hand out an AMSOIL product brochure, data sheet, or any AMSOIL sales aid, it is always a first class piece. When your new Dealers receive the Action News, Altrum News or the AGGRAND News, you know they are receiving timely, well-written information that will help them in their businesses. You know these publications will be of high quality and that they will reflect well not only on the company, but on you as a sponsor and businessperson. When you or your customers visit our website, they find it well designed, informative and easy to use.
When you see an AMSOIL advertisement in a magazine, it will also reflect the quality of the company and products. That’s how we do things here at AMSOIL. I realize that I often sound like a broken record when talking about the importance of sponsoring, but it clearly is the quickest and best way to build a strong AMSOIL business.
