About Amsoil

Amsoil started back in 1973 and is sold through independent dealers like myself. Their products may be purchased one of three ways:

• Through independent dealers such as myself.
• Through retail outlets such as quick lubes, parts stores, etc.
• Directly from Amsoil’s Website through their Online Store

I have made this Amsoil Website interactive where you can leave posts or comments about Amsoil Products on every page. Just fill out the comments form below each product if you would like to share your experiences about a certain Amsoil Product, questions on a particular product or anything else you may have on your mind.

I also set everybody up to be an Author when you register to my site. This way you can create or edit your posts as you may desire.

I started using Amsoil Lubricants in my vehicle roughly five years ago. The two main benefits that switched me over are as follows:

1. My wife was driving our 4runner one summer day and accidently put it in 4WD mode. For the life of me I couldn’t get it to disengage until I found an empty parking lot, put the SUV in reverse and floored the gas, when I finally got my speed up pretty high I felt a large thump as the 4WD finally disengaged. When I switched over to their Severe Gear Lubes the 4runner switches in and out of 4WD mode on dry pavement silently and easily.
2. When I took my car in to a Jiffy Lube to change my oil (I brought in my own Amsoil Synthetic Motor Oil) the mechanic said my oil, except for the fact it was dirty (I live in the desert), the oil showed no signs of breaking down.

I have left comments under each product about the oil change intervals I recommend. They are slightly different than what Amsoil Recommends.
